Art journal - Norway wins the Eurovision Song Contest

Norway wins the Eurovision Song Contest! The show is something I have seen on television sins I was a child , and it is so much fun. This year Alexander Rybak from Norway won. He is a great fiddler and song writer. It certainly deserves a place in my art journal today!

Her is the link to the offical web page http://www.eurovision.tv Her is the you tube video:

And for those who did not know 17. may is the Norwegian constitution day, so it will be a great and big celebration! Want to know how we celebrate here's Wikipedias article on the subject: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norwegian_Constitution_Day

It certainly does deserve a spot in your journal. How wonderful. You made a great page of it too. I also liked your last post with the ships flags. Great picture and thanks for showing all the flags and their meanings.

Thank you for the complement on the journal entry and the congratulation on our Constitution Day. It was a fantastic day if you ever have the chance to be in Norway on 17.may do it! The air is filled with all this positive energy everybody and I mean everybody gets to participate. This year the sun was shining and it was 25*C in the shadows, I know that is not hot compared to other places in the world but think of this it was only two days earlier we had frost. We celebrated our day watching and participating in the parade, the band was grate. We then met up with friends and family. That we spent the rest of the day with. For me the day gives a feeling of gratitude that we live in a country that thoroughly has peace and liberty.

A little quote from our national anthem:
Norsemen in house and cabin,
thank your great God!
The contry he had well protected,
although things looked dark.
And as the fathers have fought,
and the mothers have wept,
the Lord has quietly moved
so we won our rights.

Long reply hopefully you get a glimpse of Norway.
