Art journal - ticket

My Nana, grandmother, died Monday. I will miss her tremendously. We had a close friendship. In addition to being my grandmother she was a close friend, we shared a lot of common interest among many things the love of books, crafts and family. When we talked about death she said that she was not afraid to die. She had her ticket to heaven ready, it was just a mater of time before the conductor called her on board the journey to heaven. It is a slim comfort that she was old and did not suffer much. It does not take away the terrible void she is leaving. My art journal entry is the quote she used to say "I have the ticket to heaven".

Medium used: 3B pencil, vintage book page from the book "he is our peace" , stazOn stamp, and watercolour. The entry is made in the brown leather journal from Rhonda Miller.

IF - Clique

Last minute entry for the Illustration Friday. Who is more clique birds or teenage-girls? I don't know my entry this week are some birds. The birds is of unknown species, hanging out together. Medium used: watercolour and pencil.

IF - Punchline, Punch line

I could not help my self, the illustration was to obvious. Punch line. For the ones that don't see it is a line of people waiting to get some punch.

I got my first collage cube, rubber stamps cube, today. No, they don't sell these where I live, so Etsy was the place to go.

Made a little collage piece. Medium used: ink pad, vintage book pages, rubber collage cube, watercolour , watercolour pencil, iridescent and heavy structure gel medium for glue, acrylic paint.

IF - baby

Have you seen little children pretending that their dolls are babies? Medium used: watercolour , watercolour pencil, ink for the background, vintage book page, ink mixed with acrylic for the colour of the dress, iridescent medium for the spoon.
